Why HOVER wants you:

HOVER is looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Lead to own and optimize our end-to-end customer communications: all the way from acquisition through engagement and retention. Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing, this role will work closely with Product Marketing, Brand, Partnerships, Product and Sales teams to maximize HOVER’s growth engines. Your background includes (growth) marketing and data driven experimentation in high velocity, early stage environments that leaves you hungry for a role that gives you both the latitude to pave your own path and opportunity to drive an outsized impact within the company. 

You will lead the efforts to convert insights and ideas into actions, with a holistic and creative approach to the customer experience. With a data-driven approach, you will not only be motivated by engaging our existing customer base with exceptional messaging, you are also obsessed with growing and maximizing the audience you can reach through a robust MQL program. This role will be at the center of customer engagement and retention and play a pivotal role in the business by making recommendations on ideal customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, insights and behavior analysis. You will be responsible for creating immersive, personalized, long-term customer relationships via communication channels, including email, push, in-app messaging and SMS, with the ultimate goal of delivering a consistent and 1-1 message across all touchpoints.

As a Lifecycle Marketing Lead, you will be joining the Growth Marketing team that conceives of, creates, and executes on the company’s largest growth initiatives. We are looking for someone who has a strong sense of ownership and is excited by the idea of acting both operationally (to tactically get-things-done each week) and strategically (to scale our business in the right ways entering 2023).

Responsibilities will include:

  • Own the customer engagement and retention strategy to meet our customer’s needs
  • Day-to-day hands-on execution of lifecycle marketing programs supporting HOVER’s diverse product portfolio
  • Own the strategy and execution of email campaigns and automated email programs to create engaging, personalized consumer journeys
  • Own and grow database growth over time by standing up an MQL program
  • Deeply understand our existing users, their behaviors and needs
  • Own audience definition, segmentation, product positioning and messaging
  • Design and implement ambitious A/B and multivariate tests across lifecycle channels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers and copywriters to lead the development of assets
  • Own the strategy, planning, and roadmap for our owned channels, including email, push, in-app messaging and SMS
  • Determine the necessary tools, operations and measurement required to efficiently run and scale owned channels
  • Own the analysis and reporting of all lifecycle channels and forecast performance to help set and pace toward team revenue goals

Your background includes:  

  • 5+ years of Growth or Growth Marketing experience 
  • Experienced in lifecycle marketing with a successful track record in improving customer activation, engagement, and retention through digital means.
  • Proficient in copywriting key messages for customer engagement campaigns - particularly when it comes to action oriented motions to drive utilization
  • Significant experience working with marketing automation software (Braze, Marketo, Hubspot), CRM, and analytics tools (Tableau)
  • Experience operating in an 80/20 mindset and deliberately prioritizing your time when there are competing exciting and impactful projects to work on
  • Strong ability to organize and communicate large, complex initiatives and parallel work streams that involve many cross-functional stakeholders
  • Resourceful, hard working, and solutions oriented mindset -- you work to solve your own problems before asking for help 
  • Data and results driven -- you like to beat the odds and blow past goals 

Nice-to-haves:

  • Coding languages - SQL, HTML
  • Familiarity with design programs like Figma and Adobe Photoshop
